The Neo’s 650-microsecond laser energy is delivered into the dermis and epidermis to break up melanin depos-its while shutting down vasculature and inflammation. It is highly tolerable with minimal risk of adverse effects compared to traditional topical or other device treatments. It typically take 15-20 minutes and is safe, effective, and tolerable for all skin types and all forms of melasma. Angiomas are caused by broken blood vessels, and appear on all parts of the body. While not dangerous, many people wish to remove them. Aerolase lasers target hemoglobin in the broken capillaries and superheat them in order to coagulate the vessels. With a few pulses of the Aerolase laser, the angioma will typically blanch and turn grey. In most cases it will disapear completely in few days. In some cases, depending on the size of the angioma, a patient may need more than one treatment. Safe for all ages.
For the treatment of scarring from incisions, to minimize raised scar formation, Aerolase ablates along the in-cision line, which promotes evenness of skin healing. The heat from the laser energy stimulates the formation of new collagen, further improving the surface texture and uniformity.
For the treatment of any other scarring (acne, injury, etc.), Aerolase reduces the raised scar tissue and improves texture, while targeting pigment including red (vascularity) and brown (hyperpigmentation) to improve the cos-metic appearance of the scar.
